First, create the objects that that you for the animation. Create a background layer and then on each layer duplicate the heart and change the expression.
When you finish all the changes on each layer, choose everything on the layer and drag onto the Symbols palette.
Use Export and save the file as a .SWF file.
Select to export the file as AI File to SWF Frames. This exports each layer as a frame. Check Protect from Import. To use the background in the animation select Use as Background designating the blue layer. Now you can open the animation and watch it.
